A lot of Kossacks have been real leery of the Bristol Palin BabyGate rumors. I think the lot of them need to get their head examined, personally. Since when, in this country, is open discussion about a topic akin to murder? Is theorizing that Sarah Palin didn't have the baby meaning that we wish the worst on the daughter? NO!
Sarah Palin gave birth (no pun intended) to these rumors with decisions she made that she openly talked about. She told us her water broke, and then did a speech and travelled from Texas to Alaska. Ask ANY woman who you know who's had a baby what they would have done when they found their water had broke. ESPECIALLY early.
You will be told they'd have IMMEDIATELY gone to the hospital.
On that alone, BabyGate believers are the compassionate ones, because we're assuming there's no way that story could have been true. Sarah Palin would never have put her baby at risk like that -- or herself!
Then, she goes back to work 3 days later. That's ridiculous! Again, ask any woman who's had a baby what they would have done. This is what Lieutenant Governors are for! At the very least, a week off should be the minimum.
Don't feel bad for Sarah Palin, it's just Internet gossip. And don't be ashamed of your favorite blog for discussing it. If she did hide her pregnancy, it actually speaks more highly of Palin, not worse. I think the story is worse if it's NOT true. Do you want a woman making that kind of choice becoming PRESIDENT?
And let's not hang our heads in shame of the right pointing their fingers at us. They have four pointing right back at them. Bristol is pregnant. My god. The very symbol of "abstinence education" would be the VP of our country if elected! Conservatives are cowering in fear right now. :-)
No, the right has no leg to stand on. Here are the stories that have about is:
* Bill and Hillary Clinton murdered Vince Foster. (This is an accusation of MURDER, people) * Obama is a Muslim. (Based on nothing.) * Obama doesn't hold his hand to his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance. (A single hoax picture.) * Hillary Clinton is a lesbian. (Based on nothing.)Where's the outrage there? And these stories have NO supporting evidence. I am proud of the Daily Kos. We don't make sh** up. If we're right or wrong, we're hear to discuss. No one is attacking Palin, we're merely discussing the merits of a story.
And if you think America will "rebel" against us for this, think again. No one has ever accused Americans of being against "tabloid" stories. :-) Puh-lease.
I think the right is in trouble on this.
